1) Change new job (to a different biz unit)
2) Change new maid (this is my 3rd maid within 5 months, gonna get blacklisted soon!)
3) The 2 little monsters are keeping me busy and tired :)

Time passes so fast! It is mid November now, meaning, X'mas is coming soon!! Hehe!!
I can go on X'mas spreeeeee....

Let's talk about Bryant first...
He is progressing well in pre-school. :) Just had a fall recently :( Fell from sofa and hit his right eyebrow area. The "balugu" is very big! Finally subsided but still blue-black. He is still active as usual and has already forgotten about this accident. -_-" BOYS!!

Sarah is getting more and more cheeky. She likes to disturb Bryant, especially when he is sleeping. Haha!! REVENGE is sweet!! Her 3rd liitle pearlie is out. :) Oh yes, she is finally eating SOLIDS!! Gosh, she been drivin me nuts when she refused solids till recently. She only started to eat porridge 1 week before she turns 1 year old and now she is eating very very well.

Both of them are always fighting for toys, arghh! Therefore the house is very noisy. BUT, I like their noise and presence. :) They are the best gifts that are given to me.

How I Spent My One Week Leave

I took this week off to clear my maternity leave, and I still have another 4 weeks to clear. *faint*
This week is more tiring than working. Venus was saying that I should be able to save $$ since not working but Calyn said "Gina will SPEND MORE!" Haha! How true!

Mon - Return zoo pass, collect my maid's work permit
Tue - Met up with May in the late afternoon to shop and spent over $200 in Robinsons and had dinner together with the rest of gang @ Shokudo to celebrate my birthday
Wed - MY BIRTHDAY!! Went to Melben to eat seafood dinner with Deli
Thu - Went to Club21 Bazaar @ the Flyers in the late afternoon till early evening. Total damage: $600 for Yeo family!!
Fri - Met up with Yongsheng and Yanping in the afternoon to K and had dinner together @ Waraku
Sat - Watched Aaron Kwok concert!! Cool!
Sun - Going to Xiaohui's baby full-month party later and also attend family dinner

I think I save more $$ when working leh!

I registered Bryant for fun and never expected him to COMPLETE the run. He threw his tantrums when the run was about to start so we went home. Perhaps the weather was hot? Maybe too crowded? Anyway, will still have chance again.

I managed to get zoo pass and we invited Sean and his family to go with us on 23/05/09, Saturday.
It was raining in the early afternoon. Thank goodness the rain stopped when we reached there.

Hen's Nite

Elaine's wedding was on the 16th May 2009, Saturday. Her Hen's nite was on Thursday nite @ Clarke Quay.

It was my first time attending Hen's nite. It was really HAPPENING. Haha! May and I were saying perhaps we should RENEW our wedding vows and the guys can help us arrange a Hen's nite. Haha!!

Ang Mos are more sporting when comes to play! Singaporeans really "shy".. Elaine completed her 10 tasks by 11pm and she was allowed to leave then. Haha! Anton sent his bestman down to ensure the gals did not go overboard that nite.

Well, I was SUPER BUSY with work, preparing QBR (Quarterly Biz Review). This is the first QBR for my Customer and also my first time doing it. I was totally CLUELESS and CARELESS.

Thank goodness Shelvin, Calyn and Gary helped me. They dropped me hints, helped me with my cosmetic presentation.I struggled for 2 weeks, most of the nights I worked OT, as I am VERY SLOW. -_-" They also taught me how to identify trends, that is the most interesting part.

Lesson Learnt:
1) Prepare data early
2) Make sure the data is CORRECT
3) Analyse my data, be prepared of questions being asked by PM (Program Manager)
4) Think myself as a customer, do I understand what I have prepared?

Bad Weather or Poor Health?

Bryant was the first to fall sick in early May. Got fever, cough and flu. The fever went up and down for a few days. He was restless, grouchy and no appetite. We saw his usual PD for a few times but the fever never went off totally. Mummy suggested to bring Bryant to see a Chinese doc and off we went.

The Chinese doc is located at Chomp Chomp area. He is a friendly man and his whole family are all physicians. After one day, Bryant fully recovered from his fever. He was back to his cheerful self. I was so relieved. :) He stayed at home for 2 weeks till he fully has appetite. The Chinese doc asked me to bring him back for review and he'll prescribe some tonics to build back his health.

Sarah fell sick on the 2nd week. She also got fever, cough and flu. I quickly brought her to see the Chinese doc. As I am still breastfeeding her, he asked me to take some "ling yang" so that Sarah will get some to bring down the fever. I only took one dosage and I also fell sick. Fever, vomit and giddiness. Sarah cried badly non-stop. I was very worried but I got no strength to pacify her at all. In the end, we brought her to KK A&E and I went to the Women's clinic to see doctor while waiting for her turn. She finally recovered after the 2nd visit to KK.

Now everyone is back to their healthy self. Hope can maintain this. I was really exhausted for the last few weeks looking after the 2 of them.

Sarah turns 4 month old on March 5th 2009. We brought her to neighbourhood salon to shave botak. Why? Because we want to bring her to Temple to pray and she needs to be shaved botak to be "clean" then can step into the Temple.

She looks like Bryant now. :)

Bryant had 3 Lou Heis this year. One at Gim Tim with both families on 人日, another is at our home on 07/02/09 and on the last day at my parent's place.

Tiring, Frustrating Week

I feel so tired and depressed...

1) Bryant is sick again! Bronchitis and diarrhea. He has been eating medicine since before CNY till now. But his cough did not recover and in fact has worsened. Was on neubilizer last Friday evening. His diarrhea also did not improved because he refused to drink soy milk and he also refused food intake. Only kept crying and crying. He has lost weight and his face is very pale now. :(

2) Sarah got the virus from Bryant and starts to have diarrhea too. Last night started to get feverish.

3) Re-structure AGAIN!! Damned! Gotta look for new job again. Deli gave me a deadline and expects me to leave by August. :( Hate that ass**** who inititated this re-structure!!

4) Think I am too tired and thus low immune system, and I got the flu and fever from Bryant yesterday. Haiz....

Bryant has stopped crying this week when the schoolbus arrived. I am so proud of him! :) He took 1 week to adjust.

Teacher also informed me that he is eating well in school and adjusting well in school. But I think the quantity is not alot coz he ate alot during dinner time. We have decided to confirm him in MMI and will buy him school uniform soon. :)

He is still misbehaving. :( I think he needs a longer time to adjust having Sarah around. My heart aches when he is being caned for misbehaving. He cried very badly. He seemed troubled. I really in a loss. :(

1st Day @ Thomson MMI

Bryant started his full-day childcare @ Thomson MMI last Friday, 02/01/2009. He would travel by schoolbus to-and-fo. I accompanied him on his first day and he enjoyed himself.

On the 2nd day, I did not accompany him anymore and he started to cry. Especially when boarding the schoolbus in the morning. My heart aches when he cries. He is still so young! But I hardened my heart and strongly believes he should learn to be more independent.

Have not been updated my blog for quite sometime..

Been busy with little princess and little terror. :)

Today is the last day for Bryant with NTUC childcare. I have registered him with Thomson MMI and he will start school this Friday. Hope he will like the new environment and friends.

8 weeks have passed and I am going to start work next Monday. Suddenly I do not feel like going back. :( I feel that I have not spent enough time with Sarah. But I'm sure MIL will look after her well. I am also worried Bryant coz this is the first time he is going to and fro to MMI in a school bus. What if he run in the bus and fall down? What if the bus brake hard and he fall to the front? I better stop having the negative thoughts else I would not be able to concentrate at work.

My resolution for 2009 is: Good health for my family especially my 2 kids.

A Mummy's Woes..

Everyone tells me that breastmilk is good for babies but they never said is so TIRING and TIME-CONSUMING.

After Sarah was discharged from hospital, I latched her during every feed, each breast 15mins but she would always fall asleep while feeding. When I put her down on her cot, she would wake up n cried coz was still hungry. Then I would continue to breastfeed again. It would take close to 1hr to ensure she is well-fed. After that, I would pump 30mins for the remaining milk.

As breastmilk is made up of 70% water and rest is other nurtrients, Sarah gets hungry easier. She would scream for her milk about 1.5~2hrs later. Therefore I gotta repeat the WHOLE PROCESS again!! *faintz* I look like a cow!

Now I feed her by bottle. So MIL can help me feed while I pump milk. I would latch her during the night so that I do not need to pump and can sleep longer.

Sarah likes being carry to sleep. She would wake up immediately if we put her back to cot. No choice I let her sleep on her tummy although the nurses reminded me not to as it is very dangerous but Sarah can sleep longer if she sleep on her tummy.

I really dunno what's wrong with Bryant. He kept throwing things all over the place and throw his temper for no reason. :( Deli used the cane on him but he still the same. My heart aches when Deli canes him. Last night Bryant was caned again for throwing his toys on the floor and at me. Deli caned him many times. Bryant cried till his voice became hoarse. There were so many cane marks on his arms and legs. I nearly cried but I controlled my tears from flowing out.

I think Bryant hates us now for always scolding and caning him. But I really do not know what I should do to make sure he understand all these things he done are wrong. Are we using the wrong approach? I hate to cane and scold him but sometimes he is really too much!

Bryant's childcare is also giving me headache. They kept accepting more toddlers but the teachers ratio are still the same. Bryant fell down last week during outdoor and they did not inform me. Bryant's both kneecaps and elbows are swollen. I only know when Bryant reached home and told me is painful. I called the childcare and asked them if Bryant had a fall and what I got back was "Oh? Did he fall down?" I was very angry and told them Bryant complained very painful and were swollen. The teacher said perhaps he fell down during outdoor. Children fall down is very common, but they should inform me even tho is not VERY SERIOUS that require to go hospital.

Bryant wore a t-shirt home that did not belong to him. I quickly called childcare to inform them and the teacher said they have put aside Bryant's t-shirt and would passed back to me the next working day. I went to the childcare that day itself to return the t-shirt but TILL NOW I still have not got back Bryant's t-shirt. I called and asked and NOW THEY SAID they do not know where the t-shirt is. They said will pay me back for the lost t-shirt. I am not chasing them for the $$, is that they should tell me is lost in the first place. I will not get angry coz it is common to misplace but I do not like people to lie to me. The childcare is always very messy during lunchtime as one teacher would prepare milk, one or two look after those who are still eating, two teachers are bathing the toddlers and one teacher would look after those who have finished eating and bathing.

Perhaps all childcare centres are the same, I am expecting too much. *shrug*

SHE is finally HERE....

She is so SMALL.. and Daddy, Mummy and Ah Ma do not allow me to go near her. I do not understand why! I just want to play with her!!

I offered her my biscuits, sweets but Mummy said mei mei can only drink milk milk. Weirdo.. Got sweets yet does not want to eat..

I like to watch mei mei sleep. She is very cute. I like to kiss her too :) But sometimes I got too excited and started to get rough with her like pull her hair, pull her mittens or booties. I thought she is same like me and like to play peekaboo so I threw blanket at her to cover her. But mummy scolded me and beat me!! :(

Mummy and Daddy beat me very often now. They said I am a notti boy. They are using the cane on me. It is very painful. :(

I feel very insecure. Mummy used to carry me, now she only carries mei mei. So I always cry when she carry mei mei and want Mummy to carry me too. Then Ah Ma will carry me away. I do not understand why Mummy does not want to carry me!! Is it they do not love me anymore?

Nobody understand how I feels now. I am so sad. :(

I finally saw my family on 5th November 2008. *yawnz*

My Gor Gor is very mischievious. He always shake my cot when I am sleeping, beat my head when mummy is feeding me or throw things into my cot!
Though Gor Gor is very mischievious, he still loves me alot. Everyday after school, he will rush into my room first and called me. Every night he will kiss me before he goes to sleep. *yawnz*

I am allergic to cow's milk therefore I am on total breastfeeding. My mummy is like a cow now, she is either latching me on or pumping milk out. She is so tired till she can't wake up at night to pump milk. I hope she can hear me cry for milk when I move into their room this Friday onwards. *yawnz*

I am driving my mummy and ah ma crazy these few days by refusing to sleep in my cot. I only want to sleep in their arms. Partially is due to my blocked nose and also it feels good to be held tightly by them. *yawnz*

Halloween Nite!

DHL held the D&D on Halloween night. My manager hoped we can dressed up for the event. I did not expect the turnout to be so TERRIFIC! Majority were dressed up and had lotsa fun!

I am dressed up as a preggy witch, hehe. My team-mates all stayed for the dance while I went home. Too tired and fat to dance... Haha!

So sad that I did not win anything for the lucky draw but I think the prize should be quite attractive. My colleague won 79th prize and is $100 voucher!! *drool*

Future Drummer??

My dad bought Bryant a drum set and surprisingly he plays quite well.
Thank god the noise pollution is minimal. Haha!
I asked Deli if we should get one set for him here and he quickly rejected my suggestion. -_-"

We brought Bryant to stay overnight @ Rasa Sentosa Resort over the Deepavali weekend. He enjoyed himself tremendously and also had a good tan! :) He is much darker than me now. My Beach Boy~~ Hehe!

Well, I want him to enjoy himself coz he is going to be in confinement with me for the next month. No more shopping and swimming/tanning excursions for him for the next 4 weeks. Hehe!

Poly Mates Reunion

Cherlene is Deli's cousin. She held her wedding on 18 Oct 2008 at Rasa Sentosa Resort. It was a beautiful and cosy wedding. The ROM started at 1pm and the JP was a lady. She had her own style of solemnisation and it was very touching.

It reminded me of my solemnisation 5 years ago. I still remembered I was very scared and mumbled thru' my marriage vows. May and Zhen were crying behind. Time passes so fast and I am going to be mother of 2 soon.

Come to think of it, it is really not easy to maintain a marriage. It requires communication and trust. Either one is gone, the marriage is over. Although alot of people got married but are you sure they are happy? Perhaps happy on the surface but not on talking terms?
Is there really such couple who loves each other till death do them part in this world?

On Maternity Leave!!!

I have started my maternity leave this week as I'm getting tired and heavy and TIGHT. This week will be working from home.

I will be able to know when meimei joining us by this Saturday. I had to C-Sect AGAIN because my platelets is running low and they are afraid I may need blood transfusion. :( I just wish meimei will be healthy.

Went shopping with Yanping, Karen and Yongsheng on Tuesday evening. I bought X'mas clothings for meimei and Bryant!! So happy!! I also bought new bedsheets for them for CNY. Hehe! KS Mummy!! Haha!!

Family Day..

We went to Wild Wild Wet on last Saturday, 11 Oct 08, again. Had arranged to meet Betty to let Bryant and Gwen to play together. As usual, Bryant enjoyed himself tremendously! ;) Halfway, my camera BROKE DOWN. Think because Bryant splash water on the camera thus it went nuts. Thank goodness it is OK now.

I feel so happy when I see him smile and laugh! I think that is the greatest gift a mum could ask for. :) Since I'm pregnant, my temper has worsened and I flared up over trival matter. I felt horrible after I scolded Bryant. :( But he still come over and hug me no matter how harsh I am to him.

Marcus held his wedding @ Hotel Intercon on last Friday evening. Halfway thru' the dinner, I had tummy pains. It looks like contractions and also looks like tummyache. I couldn't differentiate which is which. In the end, I decided to go home and have a good rest.

We brought Bryant to Cafe de Mar @ Sentosa on 27 September, Saturday. We reached there around 1pm and stayed till 7pm. He enjoyed himself very much. :) We brought water pistols for him to play and he had great fun spraying water at everyone. Haha!

He charmed a few gals and they kept playing with him. Haha!

Saw this interesting subject in Her World at the newspaperstand and I decided to buy the magz to read about it.

I find this article very meaningful as it reflects the current trend of marriage.

1) Too Busy To Love
This is talking about couples living together and share the bills but lead separate lives, cohabiting more like a passionless housemates than loving life partners.

2) Together for Practically's sake
Couples now prefer a more pragmatic solution when things are falling apart as a divorce can be expensive. By staying together, they not only share the living costs, they also keep the money that could have gone to the lawyers. This also spares the children the trauma of seeing the parents split up. When the relationship is diminished to just mere shared assets and little affection, it is easy for a third party to come into the picture and affect the relationship.

My Thoughts
It is really not easy to keep a marriage alive and loving. Just a slight mistake or carelessness could cause your marriage to fail. Women tend to spend more time with their new-borns and neglect their husbands. When the wives want to spend time with their husbands, it was already too late as their husbands had already found "someone" to share their unhappiness and the "someone" was always by their side. Staying together is just a responsibility.

I HATE this word RESPONSIBILITY. I find it difficult and meaningless as marriage is for years and not a few days only. But it is really really very difficult to make decisions as women tend to be emotional and would always think for their children. They do not want their children to grow up in a broken family. BUT the children will grow up and have their own family, then what would happen to us, women?

Some Updates...

Let's talk about Bryant first.. :)

He is now 91cm tall and weighs about 14.2kg. PD said he is overweight for his age but OK for his height. When I told Calyn and gang, she kept saying "Told you lioa!! Your son is FAT!!" -_-"

He is adapting well in childcare now. Seldom cries now when I sent him there especially when Teacher Alice is around. In fact, recently, he starts to wave bye bye to me and give me a flying kiss. Contradicting feelings again: Happy that he is adjusting well, sad that he no need me lioa. Haiz.. WOMEN!!

Now let's talk about me and Carys.

Went for anenatal checkup last Saturday. Everything is OK and Carys weighs about 1.2kg and I am now 30 weeks + preggy. On Monday night, I fell on the bed on my tummy while trying to save Bryant from falling off the bed. Carys did not move for 30mins and I was very scared. Quickly called gynae and he asked me to get myself admitted to Mt Alvernia. When I reached labour ward, I started to have contractions. Gynae came and checked and found out my contractions have started and was very close but my cervix was not opened tho Carys is very low. He said 30 weeks is too early to give birth so want to suppress my contractions. Gave me med and stay overnight for observations. The med worked and my contractions became longer and by Tue morning, it stopped. Did an ultrascan on Carys and she is OK and weighs about 1.6kg. Gynae decided to let me go home after I promised him that I will take very good care of myself.

Now I am at home resting. Hope everything will be fine and Carys can wait for at least 5 more weeks. :)

The mooncakes are COMPLETED!! Hehe! I did it with my mummy's help as I am not allowed to do moulding as elderly believed will affect the unborn.

The white lotus mooncake is the easiest to make. The durian mooncake is the most challenging. As my mummy forgot to put the durian fruit in freezer, it is too soft to mould into a mooncake.

From the pics, those without "face" are durian mooncake while the rest are white lotus.

My colleagues said the durian taste nice, just that the snowskin abit thick. I will improve next year! :)

Excited!!!

Because I just bought the mooncake ingredients during lunchtime and I am going to make my own snowskin mooncakes tonight!! Provided I am not tired after shopping after work. Hehe!

Spent $38.60 on the ingredients and tools. Heard it is very simple to make. Hope it will come out nice. :)

White Lotus Mooncake
Ingredients
White Lotus Paste 1kg
Snow Skin Premix 500gm
Cold Water 260ml
Shortening 100gm
Juice Binder 20gm
Cooked Glutinous Rice Flour
Flavouring 2 tbs

Skin Preparation
1. Mix the Snow Skin Premix with Shortening and Juice Binder.
2. Slowly add in Cold Water and Flavouring into the mixture.
3. Leave the mixture for 10-20mins.

Filling Preparation
1. Scatter the Glutinous Rice Powder on the plate.
2. Divide the mixture into 20gm each, White Lotus Paste 30gm each.
3. Flatten the mixture and put the White Lotus Paste into it.
4. Shape into a ball and scatter some Glutinous Rice Powder on it.
5. Put it into the mould and "drop" it out after a while.
6. Put the mooncake into the fridge for about 30mins before eating.

This is a modified recipe. Hope it taste good. :)

APPROVAL LETTER!!! ;)

Bryant finally went back to school this morning but school was pretty quiet. Well, it is good in a way coz Bryant will hv UNDIVIDED ATTENTION from all the teachers. Hehe!!

He cried quite badly when Teacher Alice attempted to carry him. Think due to long absence from school thus caused this reaction. Anyway, he settled down soon after he washed his hands. Hope he has a great day today. :)

HFMD!

Bryant was down with HFMD on last Wednesday.

Symptoms: small red bubble spots, up-down fever and ulcer in his mouth.

I quickly brought him to see PD that night. Thank goodness is a mild case. He is given anti-viral med for 5 days. When I brought him back for review on Friday night, he has almost recovered. Going to bring him back for 2nd review tonight and also hope to get his "medical cleared" letter.

Every morning when he saw Deli and I getting ready for work, he would quickly take his schoolbag and followed us. I would look at him and said "You can only go to school when you are fully recovered." and he started to howl loudly. I know he misses school, his friends and teachers alot.

Hope tonight we can get the "approval" letter and he can attend school tomorrow. :)

Loving a person unconditionally is not an easy task. Because we are all humans and humans are selfish. We tend to expect something in return but are always disappointed. Therefore, we tend to not to love the person 100% just to protect ourselves so that we won't get hurt. I don't think this is the right way to love but sad to say, it is happening everywhere now, I guess.

Ever heard of this "Once bitten, twice shy"?? Just heard this sentence when I watching the HK drama. We dare not try again once we got hurt once. Once the hurt is there, it will never be the same again.

Bryant got bronchitis attack again. He stayed at home this whole week. His cough is extremely bad at night, and last night he even vomited. :(

He couldn't sleep well, so did I. I did not sleep a wink at all last night. Feel so tired today. Hope he will recover soon. Thank god his appetite is not affected and is still so active. In fact, he is so active till I nearly go crazy.

His mischiefs:
1) Jumping on sofa
2) Turn circle on sofa
3) Hide in wardrobe
4) Throw all the toys all the floor
5) Take toys and throw at others
6) etc

He definitely needs some DISCIPLINE now.

East Coast Outing (02/08/08)

Deli suggested to bring Bryant to East Coast to enjoy some sun. He was very happy when he saw the sea and kept pulling Deli towards there. But we did not bring extra clothings so did not allow him to play. He was so unhappy with us and kept throwing his tantrums. Deli decided to bring him go cyling to distract him. :)

Who is more forgiving??

Yesterday evening, when I was on my way home taking cab, the radio discussion was "Who is more forgiving? Men or Women?"

Quite a few called in and most of them said women are more forgiving. In what way? For their family sake, they are willing to forgive their husbands if they commit adultery. But for men, they are not so forgiving as it is an impact to their ego.

I think is quite true. Women are willing to keep quiet and stay on though their husbands had strayed, especially those with children. It is not a matter that women can't support themselves, is they do not want their children to grow up in a incomplete family. Asians are more conservative. They believe a COMPLETE family is very important.

But what is the definition of COMPLETE? Everyone stays together but no communication, does that consider COMPLETE? Isn't it meaningless to stay in a loveless marriage? Alot people commented children grow up in a broken family will stray but I saw some children growing in a complete family also strayed so this is not a valid reason. I think this is more on self-disciplined, and the choices you make. You have the CHOICE to become a GOOD or a BAD person.

Therefore, we must teach the correct moral values to our children in order to let them choose the correct path. With the correct moral values, I'm sure the children will know which path is good for them.

Back to the topic, I think women should still think for themselves too. There will be a time when the children will leave to build their own family. When the time comes, they will be alone.

I think I am a forgiving person but definitely will never forget. That's ME! :)

A New Haircut

Brought Bryant to the neighbourhood hairdresser to trim his hair as it is very untidy. Her skills so-so. Mine WORSE! I trim alittle more for him when we reached home.

School Time!

Bryant started NTUC childcare on last Monday, 14/07/08. I felt awful for sending him to childcare as he is still so young but I want him to be more independent and have proper conversational skills. I hardened my heart and brought him there.

First day was OK as I was with him for the half day. Perhaps I was there, that was why, he was full of mischief! He bullied 3 toddlers by pulling their hair and they cried so badly. They are from the nursery class and are 3 years old! They got angry and refused to play with him, and one even pushed him to the floor! I got a shock and started to worry if it is a bad idea to start him so young. What if he gets bullied by the older toddlers?

I got a shock on second day when Teacher Alice refused to let me into the class! She carried Bryant in and he started to cry. My heart aches. He cried for 30mins and I hid outside his classroom to peek at him and cried at the same time. I couldn't take it anymore and left. Went to market to walk one round and went back again. Teacher Alice saw me from far and called me and said Bryant has settled down and not to worry. I peeked from window and saw him playing with the toddlers and felt more at ease. Went back home to rest and went back to his school at 11am. He was eating his lunch when he saw me and started to cry again. I went in and glued to me and refused to let Teacher Alice near him.

Third Day: He cried when Teacher Alice took his bag and carried him. Within 10mins, Teacher Alice managed to soothe him and he joined the rest for breakfast. I felt so much better and relieved and went back home. Brought MIl down at 12pm to introduce the teachers as she will be picking Bryant in the future. When we reached there, we couldn't find him. He had actually fell asleep while drinking milk. Spaggetti was served as lunch that day and Bryant never eat therefore Teacher Alice made him some milk. When he saw us, he started to cry again and MIL also started to cry.

This is his second week in childcare. As usual, he cries when about to go in but will settle down after awhile. Hope he can get adjusted well and will not cry again. Bryant! Jia You!! :)

Wild Wild Wet @ Downtown East

We brought Bryant to Wild Wild Wet on 12/07/08, Saturday. He enjoyed himself very much. He was full of smiles :)
I bought him a thermal swimwear which cost me a bomb, $60!! Thank God, it really keep him warm as he has bronchitis history and I was worried he may fall sick.

H really loves the water alot and refused to let us hold his hand. He only want to explore by himself. Initially, I was still worried that he will be afraid and cry but he proved me wrong and enjoyed himself more than us. :)

He was knocked out and slept all the way home till the next day. I will definitely bring him out to play water more often. :)

We decided to bring Bryant to a beach to let him have a feel of sea and sand. Initially, I was afraid he would be afraid, but he loves the sea! Kept asking Deli to carry him into the sea to play. There was a SPH event in the afternoonso the beach was very crowded. Bryant was very happy and was knocked out after his bath in the early evening. :)

Quite a few of my friends have commented that I do not look as cheerful as before.

I agree that I seldom smile now, I seldom laugh now, and worst of all, I seldom talk now. Think is quite a serious problem since I'm a talkative person in nature but suddenly, I do not know how to talk anymore. I used to talk anything under the sun and laugh at any tiny small thing but now I'm very "stingy" with my smiles and laughter.

Nowadays I put effort in work and I spend my awake time with Bryant. He really makes my day. :) No matter how tired or unhappy I am, when I look at him and he flashes his toothy smile at me, everything is forgotten. Audrey said my eyes lit up when I talk about Bryant. :)

I really treasure the time with him as I know when he grows up, he will not want to spend time with me anymore. Now, as a mother, I finally understand how my mummy feels when I reach teen years.

I also hope he will settle well with #2. Btw, Dr Goh said 80% is a girl but he will only confirm next month. I also hoping for a girl so I can buy dresses, leggings, hairbands, hairclips, etc! Gosh! Shopping Spreee!!!

Should also start to think of a name soon. Hmm.. I can't think of any nice names starting with "B", perhaps Belinda?

3rd Week of Suffering

Dr Heng called and said Bryant poo's test positive and needs to be on anti-biotics. She said the virus is called e-colite, I do not know the spelling. Poor little fellow! :(

He is having fever attacks now too, on and off, and also coughing. I can hear the phlegm but not that serious yet. So I quickly use the puff now.

Think I must bring him to temple to pray. How come his Jun is spent @ home, medicine and clinic.

This Friday got to go back for review, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, let his cough be better and no need be on neubiliser. Hope the virus is gone and no need to do blood tests.

This week is even horrible!!

Bryant has gastric flu from Monday till now. My poor boy :( He is so weak that he can't even walk properly and always fall down. He is also very grouchy as his tummy don't feel good and always wants me to carry him all the time. He disallows me to work and cries till fall asleep when I left for work.

He also can't sleep well at night as he kept having diarrhea in the middle of the night.

My heart aches.

Yesterday, Dr Heng decided to send his poo for lab test. She updated me today that Rotavirus is negative but still have 1 more result pending. Hope everything will be fine and is just those normal stomach flu.

I misses his bubbly self.

Bad Luck

This week is not a good week for me. :(

On Monday night, I nearly fell down from my bed while trying to take the milk bottle from Bryant. Hurt my right arm and right tummy. Wanted to see gynae to ensure #2 is OK but the pain left on Tuesday afternoon so I just ignored it.

On Tuesday evening, Bryant was playing on our bed when he fell backwards and I tried to catch him. He knocked his back of head against my nose and I started to bleed non-stop. I had a shock! Quickly called Deli in to look after Bryant while I go and cleaned up. My tee and floor all have my blood stains. Finally stopped bleeding after 10-15mins and I started to have headache.

Went to see doctor on Wednesday afternoon. He said my nose bone is OK and the headache should be gone after 48hrs. Only slight concussion. My nose is still swollen now. The blue-black should surfaced soon.

Just now during lunchtime, I went to Kwan Yin temple to pray. Hope no more misfortunes on me and bb will be OK.

Alot of my friends ask me how does Bryant spend his time @ my parent's place during weekend.

My dad will fetch Bryant over to their house in the morning while I stay at home to rest or do housework. Bryant will play and eat lunch at their place.

After his afternoon nap, usually my parents will bring him to Hougang NTUC to shop. By then, I would also have reached their place.

Then he will come back and play with his new toys and eat his dinner.

We usually go home around 9pm.

Yesterday was the first time I attended a baking class!! It was very fun but tiring. Patrick (the teacher) was a humourous and fun guy and when he knew I'm pregnant, he asked my partner to wash all the utensils as the washing area is wet and he is afraid that I will fall down. Anyway, I NEARLY fell down near the fridge area and they banned me from going there after that. -_-"

I will definitely attend again!! :)

Check out the cakes that I baked last nite!! I have not tried my creation yet, tonight will try the ice-cream cake and see how it taste. Both cakes smell nice! :)

Durian Butter Cake with Almond

Ingredients
"Gold Tree" Butter Unsalted - 200gm
"Red Man" Caster Sugar - 150gm
"Red Man" Plain Flour - 180 gm
"Red Man" Almond Ground - 20gm
Egg - 3
"Red Man" Corn Flour - 3 tbsp
Evaporated Milk - 20gm
"Red Man" Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp
"Red Man" Durian Puree/Durian Meat - 120 gm

1. Cream the Butter and Sugar to creamy
2. Slowly add in the Evaporated Milk and mix well
3. Then add in the Egg slowly into it and mix well
4. Add in the Durian Puree and mix well
5. Add in the Corn Flour, Plain Flour, Almond and Baking Powder and mix well
6. Scoop into the loaf tin and sprinkle Almond Slice on it.
7. Bake at 160 deg for 40-45mins

Durian Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients
Sponge Cake
"Red Man" Sponge Cake Mix - 250gm
Egg - 5
"Gold Tree" Unsalted Butter - 50gm
Water - 50ml

Durian Ice Cream Filling
Egg Yolk - 4
"Red Man" Caster Sugar - 80gm
UHT Milk - 100ml
Millac Cream - 400gm
"Red Man" Vanilla Stick - 1/2 pcs
"Red Man" Vanilla Ice Cream Powder - 3 tbsp
"Red Man" Gelatine Powder - 1 tbsp
Hot Water - 3 tbsp
Durian Puree - 150gm

1. Whip the Egg Yolk and Sugar to creamy texture
2. Boil the Milk, Cream and Vanilla Stick and pour into Egg Mixture
3. Mix until cool down and add in the Ice Cream Powder and stir until dissolve. Add durian puree and stir until dissolve
4. Keep the mixture into the freezer until the mixture is cold
5. Put on the mixer and mix until is thicken
6. Cut a layer of sponge cake and put into the cake ring and pour all the Filling into it
7. Keep in the freezer until set

Life is short, we should treasure what we have now and not live in regret later. We should try to stay positive. It is OUR CHOICE to choose what we want in life.

Recently been busy with work, family and no time to take cute photos of Bryant. He is growing up well.. :) Mischievious as usual. He is walking very well now, though sometimes will trip and fall. But this is part and parcel of life. He is also very expressive now. Guess he will be talking soon tho he still not calling me yet. -_-"

Friday
Deli and I celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary (Mar 8) on Friday evening instead on Saturday as we had to visit his relatives. He dated me to go IT fair, so ROMANTIC...

We decided to eat at Marina Square first. He said he was broke so just go foodcourt eat. I was SOOOO ANGRY!!! Started to nag at him, said now only 5 years already go foodcourt eat, next year no need celebrate lioa lo.. etc... In the end he suggested we go Jack's Place to eat. ;)

After dinner, we went to IT fair and bought some Wii games.

As it was still early, he suggested we catch a movie but there are no interesting movies. Then he suggested to sing KTV instead as it has been a long time we sang. So we sang for 2.5hrs. Haha!

Overall, the night was Great! But I have lost touch and sang quite awful. Hahaha!

Saturday
We went over to Da Gu house in the early afternoon. Bryant had a great time playing with Gwen. Gwen is older than bryant by 5 months but Bryant is so much BIGGER in size. As they are still young, so they still do not know how to "share toys". In the end, they started to fight! Little terror hit Gwen on her head!! -_-" I quickly carried him away and scolded him for being so naughty.

Sunday
Brought Bryant to airport to send DiDi off. He went to Vietnam to build toilet for the needy. I feels that is a good experience for him.

After that, my parents brought Bryant to town shopping.. AGAIN.. ;)

RESIGNED!! ;)

Yes, yes, I have finally resigned on 27 Feb. My last day will be 26 Mar. 3 more weeks and I'm out of HERE.

Having mixed feelings now. I have been working here close to 7 years. Really sad and can't bear to leave here. I'm going to miss my kakis here. :(

But I'm also looking forward to the new job. It is a totally new field for me! Hope I can get more job satisfaction from there.

Last Saturday, my parents and I brought Bryant to Airport Terminal 3. We had an enjoyable time there. :)

After that, we went to Orchard to shop. As usual, I brought Bryant to Paragon 5th floor to take the kiddy rides. :)

Had our dinner at Cuppage Waraku. The Jap manager and her staff still remember Bryant and had a fun time playing with him. :)

Lao Gong and I went to Carousel for dinner on Wednesday, 13/02/08, to celebrate V Day. It is at Royal Plaza on/at the Scotts Hotel.

I bought Lao Gong a LV wallet as a gift and also bought a sling bag for myself but I have hidden his gift in my handbag. When Lao Gong saw the paper bag, he nearly fainted and asked me if the bag can be refunded when I told him the bag cost $1.9k. -_-" Asked him if he was angry, he said no. ;p Asked him if I'm a spendthrift, he said no, is super spendthrift! Hahaha!!

Halfway our dinner, he wanted to see my new bag, so I asked him to open up and see. After he kept my bag, I took out his gift and gave to him. He was speechless and the first sentence he spoke was "how much is this wallet??" Told him cost abt $700. The next sentence was "today u spent $2.6k!?! how are you going to pay for the bill??" Told him not to worry and I will be able to settle it. Then he stared at me with big eyes "Orhh!!! You have Si Fang Qian!!!" Hahaha!!!

He said he did not get a gift for me so he decided to buy Wii for me as V Day gift. After our dinner, we went to AMK Hub and he really bought the console, everything for me! ;)

He said he need to plan a schedule, so that he can play his XBox 360 and I can play my Wii.

Overall, the evening was good! :) I got my LV bag (find very long lioa!!) and got my Wii. Most important of all, we manage to spend time together. :)

Brought Bryant to visit his PD yesterday evening for his hepatitis injection. So I decided to seek her advice on Bryant's frequent nauseousness.

She commented Bryant's feeding schedule is too near.

Bryant's daily feeding schedule:
1) 5am - 4oz milk
2) 7.30am - 3 tblspn cereal
3) 9am - 5oz milk
4) 11.30am - lunch (1 baby bowl of porridge)
5) 2.30pm - 5oz milk
6) 5.30pm - dinner (1 baby bowl of porridge)
7) 8.30pm - 4oz milk
8) 11.30pm - 5oz milk

She reminded me only the 3 main meals and his last milk feed are important. So in between his meals can have snacks or small intake of milk.

Another reason: Bryant could be sick of his porridge because it is tasteless, unlike adult food. She suggested I feed him with soft rice, noodles, etc, from our meals. Less salty and non-spicy food is OK.

Nowadays, feeding porridge to Bryant is really a headache. He would scream and push the spoon away. In order to make him eat, we would put alot of kitchen utensils to capture his attention so that we can feed him.

He is more interested in our food now. So we started to feed him some rice, vegetables and meat from our meal, when we are having our lunch/dinner. Perhaps our food is more tasty? But we did try to create more taste to his porridge like using potato, carrot and lean meat to boil together with the porridge so that is more sweet. We also used ikan bilis and soy beans/black beans to make stock for the porridge but he still resists the porridge and feel nauseous when we feed him.

Headache, headache.. What's wrong with him!!! Or our food!!! *pull hair*

Year of Rat has finally ARRIVED!! :)

This year, we stayed at home as we can't go house-visiting.

Day 1: Xiao Kim and Shuzheng came over in the afternoon and played with Bryant.

Day 2: I starting to get bored, so brought Bryant to market area to walk but no shops were opened. :(
Day 3: Went to visit Po Po at nursing home. I cried when I saw her. It has been a long time since I visited her as Bryant is still young and the elderly believed old people will "suck" baby's air. She has slimmed down alot. I misses her so much. Chatted with her for about an hour and left. Justin and gang are supposed to come over at 2pm but as usual, they reached at 5pm. I think really need to send this whole group to time management course. Elaine came back for CNY and also brought her boyfriend back. Good-looking and fit! ;)

Day 4: I am about to go crazy. So I brought Bryant out to AMK Hub to shop for an hour.

I am really not a stay-at-home person. -_-"

Disciplinary Actions

Little terror has reached the age that we should start the discipline. After discussing with Deli, we decided to implement "Sorry Chair". As discussed, if he is naughty, we are supposed to put him on the "Sorry Chair" and have his "time-out" for 5-mins.

Well, little terror knows we are angry and not talking to him, so he tried to make funny faces at us. We have to hide to laugh.

Sometimes, we also beat his palm if he throws things on the floor. And he would clap his hand and smiled at us! *shake head*

It is so difficult to discipline him.... Oh God! Pls give us strength!!!
